Yoga for Athletes series: Shoulder and Hip Openers
Saturday, May 12th from 1:15–2:15PM

Hmmmmm… tight hips and shoulders. Sound familiar? This free class is open to all levels, specifically targeting the athlete population. So, if you are an avid runner or cyclist, weekend golfer, or just dabble in sport (or know someone who fits that criteria), then this class is for you! Come practice what many elite athletes have added to their training programs; not only will yoga stretch tight muscles and make you more limber, but it can also improve performance through mental training, focus, and breathing techniques. No previous yoga experience is required.

Yoga for Athletes series: Psoas and Piriformis Openers
Saturday, May 26th from 1:15–2:15PM

Also known as hip flexors and external hip rotators, these often-overlooked muscle groups might be small, but are of critical importance to any successful athletic endeavor. This free class is open to all levels, specifically targeting the athlete population. So if you are an avid runner or cyclist, weekend golfer, or just dabble in sport (or know someone who fits that criteria), then this class is for you! Come practice what many elite athletes have added to their training programs; not only will yoga stretch tight muscles and make you more limber, but it can also improve performance through mental training, focus, and breathing techniques.
No previous yoga experience is required.
In addition to being a certified yoga instructor, Seth Dedmon is Tennessee’s only Master Instructor for the Spinning program. Seth is a cyclist and runner; and with more than 10 years of experience training athletes, he understands how to incorporate cross-training methods to achieve results.

Dive a little deeper into your partner yoga and yoga acrobatics. We hope you’ve been practicing because we have a lot to share. (If you have never come to one of these classes before we will cover all the basic’s and create a safe space where all are welcome) Remember you don’t need a partner but if you have one we won’t split you up!
As always we ask that you honor your fellow yogi’s with cleanliness in body, breath and attitude. Karma babies!

Mother’s Day!

We are inviting all mom’s to practice yoga at Steadfast.
It’s like this…
If you want to bring your mom to yoga, she may have the class for free. If you are a mom and you want to bring your kid (13 or older, sorry, no exceptions), they are free.
My mom was at my first yoga class and many after that. When I got back from India she and my dad were my first students. Practicing with family is magical!

Saturday, May 26th: Regularly schedule classes.
Sunday, May 27th: 2PM Hatha and 4PM Rocket classes are cancelled.
Monday May 28th: Special Vinaysa class with Gillian St. Clair, 9:30–11AM (All Levels)
