Starting a yoga practice can be intimidating, especially if you've never tried it before! Hatha Yoga 101 is for the complete beginner, those relatively new to yoga, and those who still have a lot of questions. We'll discuss and practice the things you'll most likely encounter in a studio yoga class: grounding and centering, gentle breath work, common yoga postures, and meditation. Also touched on: use of props, types of yoga, and studio etiquette. This class is a gentle introduction to the practice of yoga and hopefully you'll leave more informed about why we practice and be able to choose the type of yoga class for you!
